Some Serious Questions Have you been blindly following religious traditions of priests and bishops, thinking they were only teaching the Bible? It is time we all started looking into the Bible ourselves, asking some serious questions, and getting some right answers! WHY has the Roman Catholic church removed the second commandment, which deals with idolatry, from the Ten Commandments in its catechisms? To see this deception, let’s look at the normal Roman Catholic listing , and compare it with in Exodus 20 in the Bible:
NOTE: The Roman Catholic church has edited God’s
word not only to shorten the number of words, but also to erase
certain words! Someone doesn’t want
people to worry about making carved statues, and BOWING DOWN to
them! So they just SKIP the words of God, and continue on with the
list as if the Second Commandment wasn’t there. Also, the Tenth Commandment of the Bible has been conveniently SPLIT into TWO commands for the Catholic, instead of leaving it as ONE? Most people today do not actually read any Bible, so they think nothing of a church being full of statues and images that are forbidden. They read missals and prayer books which edit out the offending parts. Someone needs to answer… WHY! Why is my church so opposed to the Bible?
WHY
does the Bible condemn repetitious prayers, when the Roman
Catholic church encourages them? Jesus said, “when ye pray, use
not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that
they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore
like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of,
before ye ask him.” Matthew 6:7,8. The Rosary is a rejection of
Christ’s clear command against praying a repetitious prayer. A
Christian is to simply go to God in prayer, because of Jesus, and
ask for what they need!
WHY
does the Bible condemn the traditions of men, when the Roman
Catholic church places them on an equal footing with the Word of
God? “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of
God, that ye may keep your own
tradition.” Mark 7:9. Traditions
like praying for, or to the dead; not eating meat on Fridays;
crossing yourself when you pass near a church or cemetery, etc.,
have nothing to do with Christianity in the Bible!
WHY
does the Roman Catholic church teach that Mary
mediates between men and God when the Bible teaches that Jesus
alone is the mediator between God and men? “For there is one
God, and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus.”
1 Timothy 2:5.
WHY
does the Roman Catholic church teach that no one can be certain of
salvation, when the Bible teaches that salvation is assured in Jesus
Christ? “These things have I written unto you that believe on the
name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal
life” 1 John 5:13
WHY
does the Roman Catholic church say salvation comes through good
works, when the Bible says salvation is a free gift from God, by
faith alone, apart from good works? “For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should
boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9. Our best
efforts are as filthy rags to God (Isaiah 64:6)
WHY
does the Roman Catholic Church require its ministers to be
unmarried, and called “priests” when the Bible says they are to be
married, and simply calls them pastors, teachers, and bishops? “A
bishop then must be blameless, the
husband of one wife…” 1 Timothy 3:2
(Go look it up!)
WHY
does the Roman Catholic Church require people to call a religious
man “Father” when Jesus commanded us to call NO RELIGIOUS MAN
“FATHER!” Jesus commanded, “Call no
man your father upon the earth: for
one is your Father, which is in heaven.” Matthew 23:9. Jesus said in John 6:63, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Over and over, Jesus said to His critics, “SEARCH the scriptures” (John 5:39), and “Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures” (Matthew 22:29). Why go to a church that claims to be following Jesus, but is not interested in obeying His WORDS? Sadly, the Bible is only read in bits and pieces instead of as a whole – and millions are crying for the answer to WHY?! Why doesn’t my church care about what the Bible says?
WHY
does the Roman Catholic church teach that
Jesus Christ is continually sacrificed today, when the scripture
says the sacrifice of Jesus was necessary only once for all
eternity? “We are sanctified through the offering of the body of
Jesus Christ once for all.” Hebrews 10:10. Jesus Himself in
John 19:30, declared triumphantly on the cross, “It
is finished.” Someone needs to
answer, Why keep a sacrifice going that was PERFECT and FINISHED on
the cross 2,000 years ago?
These are serious
issues, and the answers to these important questions will
determine the eternal destiny of the many millions who blindly
depend on the teaching authority of the Roman Catholic church.
2. You must believe Jesus Christ
is all you need to be saved from hell. Jesus said, “I
am the way… no man cometh unto the
father, but by me.”
John 14:6. You can’t get to God through your church, your priest, or
good works.
3. You then can FREELY accept the
gift of salvation
- eternal life comes only from Jesus Himself. "The
gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord"
(Romans 6:23). Jesus died to give you the forgiveness of your sins.
Talk to Him in prayer right now, and accept the forgiveness that He
offers you for ALL your sins. "The
blood of Jesus Christ God's Son cleanseth us from all
sin" (1 John 1:7). Jesus
alone is your ticket home to heaven! Cry out to God from your heart right now, and ask Him to have mercy on you, and save your soul. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). It is that simple! Don't be so proud you would miss this opportunity. Hell is full of good people who were too proud to do what needed to be done, right away! For those of you who STILL think Roman Catholicism is Christianity, ponder this... Christianity is supposed to be about being like JESUS CHRIST, not a church, or a saint, but Jesus only. Anything else (including being a Roman Catholic Church) is of the devil. I say that because, if I try to give you counterfeit money, you could have me put into jail if I really believed I was RIGHT to be passing around counterfeit notes! The same is true with religion - if someone is so steadfast in what they believe, and yet it is proven to be false, then they are the ones wrong! The Bible is the source for truth. Just going by the Bible, the RC church has very little resemblance to the Church Jesus started! |
